Synopsis

The story
Struggling L.A. open-micer Jax Riley gets scouted after accidentally roasting a headliner into oblivion; he enters the bracket as the lowest seed and immediately clashes with the Roastmaster General.
Jax survives escalating rounds—improv deathmatches, crowd-work crucifixions, tag-team sketch battles—while his growing fame fractures old friendships and forces him to confront how much of his soul he's willing to sell for the win.
In the final against the undefeated legend, Jax weaponizes vulnerability instead of cruelty, delivering a set so human it disarms the arena and ends the bloodthirsty cycle, crowning a new era of kinder, sharper comedy.
