Synopsis

Mia Santos films her raw graffiti interventions under the alias 125K. When one midnight upload detonates to precisely 125,000 views, her follower count becomes a ticking death clock: every new like deletes a memory, a relationship, a piece of her physical self. As her face is plastered across billboards and her old life pixelates away, Mia must choose between deleting the account or watching the algorithm finish what it started. Racing through a neon-drenched Los Angeles where every phone is a weapon, she discovers the viral spike wasn’t random; the platform itself engineered the milestone to harvest the perfect influencer sacrifice. With her remaining followers now complicit spectators, Mia stages one final piece of street art—this time aimed at the algorithm’s own servers. The film closes on a chilling split-screen: her triumphant mural going live as her follower count ticks to 125,001 and her body begins to glitch out of existence.

The story

Act I

Mia, a broke muralist, posts a daring night piece that rockets to 125k views overnight; strangers recognize her on the street, brands DM her, and her best friend suddenly can’t remember how they met.

Act II

Each new like erases another fragment of Mia’s past; she loses her apartment, her family photos vanish from her phone, and a rival influencer who mocks her is found dead with 125k carved into his skin.

Act III

Mia hijacks the platform’s live headquarters with a massive AR mural exposing the algorithm; as the count hits 125,001 she uploads her own deletion, forcing the system to crash and restoring her erased life at the cost of permanent anonymity.

INT. ROOFTOP - NIGHT

Rain slicks the concrete. MIA (26) in a black hoodie sprays a massive, dripping eye onto a water tower. Her phone, propped on a ledge, records.

MIA
(into phone)
If this hits 125k, maybe I finally exist.

She caps the can. The clip uploads. The view counter explodes: 1k... 10k... 47k...

Her phone pings. A single comment from @ECHOZERO appears:

“Congratulations. They’re already watching.”

MIA
(scoffs, smirking)
Creep.

Behind her, the painted eye’s pupil seems to dilate. The view count locks at 125,000. Mia’s reflection glitches, then steadies. Thunder cracks.

Why now

We live inside the same algorithmic slot machine: every notification promising relevance while quietly rewriting who we are. 125k turns that daily anxiety into literal body horror, making the film feel like the scream we’ve all been typing in caps lock.
