Synopsis
In feudal Japan under eternal night, disgraced warrior Aiko discovers her ancient katana ignites only beneath the full moon, granting lethal grace while consuming her life force with every strike. Hunted by the sorcerer who cursed her bloodline, she recruits a ragtag band of outcasts to breach his floating fortress as allies fall and her humanity frays. Racing the lunar cycle, Aiko confronts betrayal and forbidden desire while the blade whispers of its own dark hunger. In the blood-red eclipse finale she must surrender power or embrace oblivion to free her clan from eternal dusk.
The story
Aiko finds the blade in a ruined shrine and slays her first demon under moonlight, awakening the curse and drawing the sorcerer's assassins.
She assembles uneasy allies, storms shadow temples, and battles inner demons as the blade's hunger grows and the moon begins to wane.
In the sorcerer's citadel during eclipse, Aiko duels her nemesis, sacrifices her remaining humanity, and claims the blade's full power to shatter the curse and vanish into legend.

Cold open
INT. ABANDONED SHRINE - NIGHT Rain hammers rotten beams. AIKO (30s), bloodied and cloaked, kneels before a stone altar where a rusted katana gleams under a shaft of moonlight. Her breath fogs. She reaches out. The blade ignites silver-white. AIKO (whispers) Show me his face. Moonlight floods her eyes. Visions flash: a horned sorcerer ripping shadows from screaming samurai. Aiko gasps, staggers. The blade pulses, drinking her blood through the hilt. Suddenly THREE ASSASSINS drop from rafters. Steel flashes. Aiko spins, the glowing blade singing. Heads roll. She stands alone, panting, as the moon slides behind cloud and the light dies. AIKO (to the blade) Not yet. Not until he bleeds.
