Synopsis
Sun Wukong, imprisoned for centuries, shatters free above the corpse-strewn Lion Camel Ridge and collides with the ancient terror Golden-Winged Great Peng. Their duel ignites an impossible chase through towering cloud canyons and lightning-scarred skies, each clash rewriting the laws of gods and demons. As the battle scales heavenward, Wukong must decide whether raw fury or hard-won mercy will decide the fate of the three realms. The Peng, once a noble guardian, has devoured pilgrims and twisted the sacred path into a slaughterhouse. Wukong’s old companions race to intervene while the heavens themselves begin to fracture under the strain of their blows. In the final ascent above the cloud sea, master and monster face the true cost of immortality.
The story
Wukong breaks free from the ridge and immediately clashes with the Peng in a savage opening strike that levels mountains.

WUKONG Come out, bird. I smell your fear. A sonic boom answers. The GOLDEN-WINGED PENG explodes from the clouds, wings blotting the sun, talons dripping blood. They collide mid-air. The ridge splits. PENG You dare challenge heaven’s hunger? WUKONG I am the hunger. Their staffs and talons clash in a lightning storm of sparks. Wukong rockets skyward; the Peng follows, shredding the air. The chase begins.
