Synopsis

In 1504 Florence, Michelangelo hammers David into existence while in 1900 Paris Rodin unleashes The Thinker; a lightning rift tears both masters into a fractured marble arena outside time. Forced to carve living stone that fights back, they weaponize their greatest works against each other, summoning assistants, lovers, and unfinished masterpieces as allies and enemies. As the arena crumbles and their bodies age decades in hours, each must decide whether to destroy the other or surrender the fire that made them gods.

The story

Act I

Michelangelo and Rodin are yanked from their studios into the arena; each believes the other is a demonic illusion sent to sabotage his masterpiece.

Act II

They unleash armies of living sculptures, seduce each other's muses, and sabotage rival works in escalating duels that reveal the personal demons driving their genius.

Act III

A final joint carving of a shared monument forces them to choose fusion over annihilation, birthing a hybrid masterpiece that seals the rift and rewrites art history.

Cold open

INT. FLORENTINE QUARRY - NIGHT

Moonlight carves silver across a half-finished DAVID. MICHELANGELO, 29, shirtless and bleeding from marble dust, drives a chisel with feral rhythm. Each strike echoes like a heartbeat.

Suddenly the stone pulses. A crack of blue lightning rips the night. Michelangelo is yanked forward into swirling marble dust.

CUT TO:

INT. PARISIAN ATELIER - SAME

RODIN, 60, caresses THE THINKER'S brow. Thunder answers. The same lightning swallows him.

Both men tumble through screaming centuries of unfinished sculptures, landing hard on a vast white plain where their own works stand as silent sentinels.

MICHELANGELO
(whisper)
This is hell.

RODIN
(smiling through blood)
No, maestro. This is competition.

Why now

In a culture starving for singular human vision amid endless replication, the raw, bloody contest between two irreplaceable giants reminds audiences that true art still demands flesh, obsession, and the courage to destroy what came before.
