A reclusive ex-soldier plagued by visions of the dead's final moments hunts a memory-wiping killer before his own forgotten sins consume him.
Synopsis
Marcus Hale wakes each dawn to the screams of the slain. His curse: every corpse he touches floods him with their last seconds of terror. When a string of ritual murders leaves victims with wiped memories, Marcus is pulled from isolation by a relentless detective who needs his gift. As the killings escalate, the visions reveal the murderer is erasing not just minds but Marcus's own buried past. The deeper he dives, the more the boundaries between living and dead blur. Allies become suspects. His apartment walls crawl with overlapping death scenes. The killer knows Marcus is watching and begins staging murders designed to break him. In a rain-soaked finale, Marcus must choose: surrender to the darkness he's seen or risk his sanity to expose the truth that could finally set the dead free.
The story
Marcus lives off-grid, numbing his visions with whiskey and isolation until Detective Ruiz drags him into a fresh crime scene that triggers a vision of the killer's face—his own, from years ago.
As bodies pile up, Marcus's visions grow personal, revealing he witnessed the first murder as a child and had his memory wiped; the killer now targets anyone Marcus cares about to force a confrontation.
Marcus confronts the killer in an abandoned asylum where past and present collide; he accepts his memories, exposes the conspiracy, and frees the trapped souls including his own younger self.
