Synopsis
Deep beneath the Nevada desert, a top-secret military facility studying recovered alien spores suffers a catastrophic containment breach. The organism, a hyper-adaptive mycelial network, infiltrates the ventilation system and begins rewriting human biology at the cellular level, fusing soldiers with fungal architecture in grotesque, 4K-detailed transformations. As the bunker seals itself, a dwindling team of survivors must navigate pitch-black corridors where walls pulse with living veins and fallen comrades rise as hybrid sentinels. Every breath risks spore inhalation; every wound invites total assimilation. Paranoia fractures the group as they race to reach the surface before the organism achieves critical mass and breaches the facility. In the final descent, the last humans confront whether survival means destroying the bunker or becoming the next evolution of the native species.
The story
