A Black painter's viral 'White' series forces him to choose between quote-tweeting his oppressors or igniting a citywide inferno with his forbidden final work during the hottest summer on record.
Synopsis
In a blistering New York summer, reclusive painter Marcus White unleashes a secret series of all-white canvases that the internet interprets as both surrender and savage critique. As quote-tweets and shares erupt, Marcus is hunted by an ambitious gallerist who wants to own the narrative, a rival influencer ready to cancel him, and his own brother, a cop on the edge of the riots the art has sparked. Trapped in his sweltering studio with the final, truly incendiary piece hidden beneath floorboards, Marcus must decide whether to let the work burn the establishment or let the establishment burn him. The temperature outside matches the temperature inside as police helicopters circle and his phone becomes a weapon of mass destruction. One choice will make him a martyr or a sellout; the other will set the whole city ablaze.
The story
Marcus posts the first White canvas and the tweet goes nuclear overnight, attracting a powerful dealer and instant death threats while his brother warns him to pull it down.
The dealer locks Marcus in a contract, the influencer doxxes his family, and the city simmers toward riots as Marcus races to finish the final canvas that reveals the truth about the entire series.
During the peak of the heatwave, Marcus burns the last painting live on camera, forcing every side to confront what the white canvas truly meant and who controls the story.

INT. MARCUS'S STUDIO - NIGHT Sweat drips from the ceiling fan. MARCUS WHITE, 32, Black, shirtless, stands before a massive all-white canvas that glows under a single bare bulb. His phone vibrates nonstop on the table. He lifts a brush, hesitates, then slashes a thin red line across the bottom corner -- almost invisible. The phone screen lights up: 2.3M VIEWS. QT OR SHARE WHITE ARTWORK? MARCUS (V.O.) They want a quote. They want blood. He sets the brush down, opens the window. Sirens wail outside. Heat shimmers off the rooftops. MARCUS (into phone, recording) This one's called "Still Here." He hits post. The like counter explodes: 47k... 112k... 300k. Somewhere in the city, glass shatters.
