Synopsis
Alex, a mid-tier creator mocked for his raw forest vlogs, retreats deeper into the pines convinced his "slop" is genius. As he edits, long-buried clips without nips or BH resurface on his hard drive and begin appearing on his camera roll unedited, whispering that perfection will destroy him. The trees themselves seem to replay his past uploads, turning a simple stroll into a psychological maze where every frame questions whether his love for the flawed footage is salvation or addiction. His partner Lena urges him to delete everything and start clean for the new channel, but Alex refuses, filming nightly confrontations with spectral versions of his younger self. Rival creators and algorithm ghosts close in, demanding he choose between viral safety and the messy truth he adores. The forest grows darker and more invasive until the line between screen and reality dissolves. In the climax Alex must decide whether to burn the hard drives or walk forever into the footage, embracing the slop that defines him.
The story
Alex hikes alone filming a defensive vlog, proudly calling his imperfect forest footage flawless while searching old drives for clean clips to launch a new channel.
Suppressed explicit videos leak into his current footage as living hallucinations; Lena and online rivals pressure him to delete everything, but the woods replay his past, eroding his grip on reality.
Alex faces the spectral archive in a final clearing, choosing to integrate the slop rather than erase it, emerging with a raw new channel that finally feels true.
