Synopsis

Dr. Lena Voss is called to a remote quarantine ward where a silent woman known only as Patient Zero lies restrained. Anyone who meets her eyes immediately convulses and attacks the nearest living thing. As the infection jumps across cities through video calls and chance glances, Lena realizes her own daughter was exposed during the initial breach. With society collapsing into masked, averted-eye chaos, Lena infiltrates the original outbreak site. She learns Zero is not a victim but the unwilling host of an engineered pathogen designed to sever human connection. Racing against the virus now mutating inside her own blood, Lena must decide whether to euthanize the source or risk everything for a cure that may not exist. The final confrontation unfolds in an abandoned subway where every reflective surface becomes a weapon. Lena forces eye contact with Zero, gambling that shared humanity can break the chain. The world watches through closed-circuit feeds, holding its breath.

INT. SUBWAY CAR - NIGHT

Fluorescent lights flicker. A lone WOMAN sits perfectly still, hands cuffed. TWO COPS stand over her, bored.

COP 1
Eyes on the floor, ma'am. Standard protocol.

The woman lifts her head. Her irises are milk-white. COP 2 glances up by reflex.

His pupils dilate instantly. He screams, lunges, and rips into COP 1's throat. Blood sprays across the windows. Passengers scramble, phones raised.

A commuter live-streams the attack. Her screen reflects the white eyes. She freezes mid-scream as the infection jumps through the feed.

The car plunges into darkness. Only the wet sound of feeding remains.

Why now

After years of enforced distance and screen-mediated connection, audiences are starved for stories about the lethal danger and desperate necessity of truly seeing one another face to face.
