Synopsis
In 2031, VFX studios weaponize real-time rendering to control global media and warfare. When underground compositor Jax Reyes discovers his software can track and composite real people into lethal digital kill zones, his overheating rig threatens to detonate city blocks. With rival render farms hunting him, Jax must finish an impossible Oppenheimer-scale sequence that could either free humanity or trap it inside the final cut. As his computer melts and allies vanish into pixels, Jax confronts the terrifying truth: every frame he renders erases another piece of the physical world.
The story
Jax Reyes, underground VFX prodigy, demos real-time object tracking that composites living people into explosive scenes. His rig warns of catastrophic overload. A shadowy studio offers him a fortune to render the ultimate propaganda film.
Corporate assassins and rival AIs pursue Jax through hybrid physical-digital streets. He composites friends into battle sequences that turn fatal. Betrayals mount as his hardware melts neighborhoods and reality frays.
In a final all-night render war, Jax forces a god-mode composite that merges every living person into one unbreakable frame. The explosion resets the grid, freeing or dooming the world depending on the last cut.

Cold open
INT. UNDERGROUND RENDER LAB - NIGHT Jax Reyes, 32, shirtless and sweating, slams keys on a rig that glows like a reactor. Monitors show a digital Oppenheimer figure walking through Times Square, real pedestrians tracked and composited in real time. JAX Come on, don't melt on me... The rig whines. A tracked woman on screen suddenly clutches her chest as pixels burn into her real-world counterpart outside the window. Sirens wail. Jax rips cables, the screen flashing RENDER OR DIE. The computer core cracks, heat warping the air as Jax grabs a hard drive and bolts into the night.
