Synopsis
In near-future Tokyo, seismic drills unearth an ancient monolithic guardian carved from living rock. The Stone Kaiju rises, its every footfall toppling skyscrapers as it seeks the celestial shard that once sealed it away. Sculptor Lena Voss, who first sketched the creature in her childhood nightmares, must team with her rebellious teenage daughter and a rogue geologist to decode the monster’s sorrowful purpose before military escalation turns it into an unstoppable destroyer. As the kaiju’s stone heart pulses with seismic fury, Lena realizes it is not mindless but mourning a lost civilization erased by human greed. She races through collapsing temples and flooded subways to reach the shard, confronting both the military’s reckless plan to nuke the beast and her own failure to protect her family years earlier. In a rain-lashed climax atop Mount Fuji, Lena offers the shard willingly, bargaining her life for the city’s survival and finally bonding with her daughter in the monster’s glowing shadow.
The story
Tokyo’s underground excavations crack open a colossal stone figure; Lena Voss sketches it obsessively while her daughter rebels against her distant mother. Military forces mobilize as the kaiju stirs.
Rampage escalates through neon districts; Lena and her daughter are arrested then ally with a disgraced seismologist to decode ancient warnings while the army’s futile assaults only enrage the beast.
Final ascent to the sacred peak where Lena sacrifices the shard inside the kaiju’s chest, halting destruction at the cost of her own vitality and forging peace between humanity and the awakened guardian.

INT. TOKYO SUBWAY TUNNEL - NIGHT Drill bits scream against black stone. Dust swirls under sodium lights. Sculptor LENA VOSS (40s) sketches furiously on a tablet, her face streaked with grime. LENA It’s… breathing. The rock face cracks. A single glowing vein pulses like a heartbeat. Workers flee as a low seismic moan shakes the tunnel. EXT. SHIBUYA CROSSING - SAME NIGHT Pedestrians freeze. The giant LED screens flicker. A deep rumble rolls beneath their feet. A child points upward as the first skyscraper tilts, glass raining like diamonds. MIRA (17, graffiti artist) stares from a rooftop, spray can dropping from her hand. MIRA (whispers) Mom… you were right.
