A genre-hopping musician's marathon creative day spirals into gospel-fueled paranoia when his pet parrot starts whispering lethal truths about his unraveling life.
Synopsis
In one feverish day, reclusive Polish trip-hop producer Janek Mazur chases inspiration through brooding sea-shanty Leonard Cohen guitar riffs and explosive cinematic gospel, only to discover his African grey parrot, Gospel, has begun repeating secret phone calls and half-finished lyrics with terrifying accuracy. As the bird's warnings grow darker—exposing a stolen master recording, a lover's betrayal, and a shadowy label exec plotting his erasure—Janek's apartment becomes a sonic confessional where every beat risks exposing fatal truths. The final track must be finished before dawn or the parrot's gospel will destroy them both. Racing from sunlit dawn sessions to midnight candlelit choirs, Janek enlists his estranged producer ex and a street preacher choir to trap the parrot's secrets in a live-recorded climax, but each new layer of music pulls him deeper into the bird's unblinking stare. When the final mix reveals the exec's murder plot hidden in reversed vocals, Janek must choose between silencing the parrot forever or letting the gospel of paranoia set him free.
The story
Janek's eclectic day begins with Polish trip-hop and sea-shanty Cohen guitar until his parrot Gospel starts repeating a threatening voicemail from his label.
As gospel swells and the bird exposes betrayal and theft, Janek gathers allies for a midnight recording session that turns his apartment into a battleground of sound and suspicion.
In the explosive final mix, Janek confronts the exec live on air, sacrifices the master to free the parrot's voice, and walks away reborn in the silence after the last note.

Cold open
INT. CRAMPED WARSAW APARTMENT - DAWN Golden light cuts through half-drawn blinds. JANEK MAZUR, 32, unshaven, sits at a battered console, headphones on, layering Polish trip-hop beats. A sea-shanty guitar riff bleeds from the monitors. JANEK (to himself) Cohen would hate this... but it works. From a corner cage, GOSPEL the parrot watches, head tilted. GOSPEL (mimicking, low) They took the masters. They know about Lena. Janek freezes. The guitar riff stutters. He rewinds. Nothing. Gospel preens. JANEK ...Sound up. He slams into dramatic gospel chords. The parrot's eyes gleam.
Why now
In an era of fractured attention and algorithm-driven identity, this story captures the terror and ecstasy of creating in public while private demons—amplified by technology and isolation—threaten to become the final track we can't unhear.
