A grieving coder clicks a phantom reply link from a dead stranger's account and must race through collapsing digital realities before the link erases her from existence.
Synopsis
Alex Rivera, a burned-out cybersecurity analyst, receives a single cryptic reply from a long-deleted account: 'Yes, you can find it here.' The embedded link opens not a website but a flickering pocket of the early web where the dead still post. Each click pulls her deeper into a lattice of forgotten forums, chat logs, and livestreams that remember murders the living have erased. As her real-world body begins to glitch and fade, Alex must confront the ghost who built the link and the corporation that now weaponizes it to silence witnesses.
The story
Alex, isolated after her sister's suspicious suicide, gets the tweet at 3:17 a.m. and clicks; her apartment lights flicker as childhood photos vanish from her hard drive.
Hunted by corporate cleaners who delete anyone who sees the link, Alex allies with a rogue archivist inside the phantom network while her physical body starts pixelating in mirrors.
She reaches the origin server, chooses to merge with the ghost to preserve the evidence, and broadcasts the truth to every active device before the link collapses forever.

Cold open
INT. ALEX'S APARTMENT - NIGHT Rain hammers the window. Alex, 28, hoodie on, sits in the blue glow of three monitors. A notification pings. TWEET: @aimikoda replied to you: "@chrismac734 Yes, you can find it here;" The link is a string of broken characters that shouldn't resolve. Alex hesitates, then clicks. The screen fractures into static. Her sister's childhood photo on the desk monitor glitches, face replaced by static snow. Alex leans closer. Behind her, the webcam light flickers on by itself. On the central monitor, an old forum loads: 2009 timestamp, username LILAVOSS, final post "they're coming for the link." Alex's reflection in the black glass of her phone shows her eyes briefly replaced by scrolling code. She gasps, yanks the power cord. The monitors die. In the sudden dark, her phone lights up with one new notification: "Welcome back."
