Synopsis
In the brass-and-boiler city of Ironhaven, young gear-thief Lila Voss discovers a living steampunk artwork that sings rebellion when wound. Hunted by the Ministry of Cogs, she allies with exiled inventor Elias Thorne and a ragtag crew of misfit machinists to hijack the empire's central turbine during the Grand Exposition. As steam riots erupt and clockwork enforcers close in, they must choose between personal survival and igniting a revolution that could free every cog-bound soul.
The story
Lila steals a mysterious humming cog from a Ministry vault and is branded a traitor, forcing her underground where she meets Elias and learns the cog is key to a legendary sentient artwork.
The crew infiltrates the airship Exposition, battling corporate assassins and sabotaging gear-barons while the artwork's power grows, testing loyalties amid exploding boilers and aerial chases.
At the climax, Lila and Elias activate the masterpiece atop the central tower, sparking a city-wide uprising that shatters the barons' control and forges a new era of free invention.
