Synopsis
Middle-aged insurance adjuster Greg Harlan thinks he's losing his mind when every neighbor seems to be acting in a perfectly timed comedy bit. After a string of escalating humiliations broadcast to millions, Greg realizes his life has been the longest-running reality show in history. With his teenage daughter as reluctant accomplice, he begins a guerrilla campaign to expose the network while protecting the only real relationship left in his curated world.
The story
Greg notices glitches in his daily routine and records proof that every interaction is scripted. His paranoia alienates his wife and daughter until a late-night confession from the show's runner confirms the nightmare.
Greg recruits misfit neighbors who want out, builds booby traps, and leaks damning footage online. The network retaliates with smear campaigns and staged tragedies that threaten his daughter's safety and his last shred of sanity.
Greg lures the executive producers onto the set for a fake finale, traps them in the same artificial neighborhood, and forces a live unscripted confrontation that ends with the show canceled and Greg choosing a quieter, unfilmed life.
