Synopsis

In the fluorescent purgatory of Apex Corp, junior analyst Max Torres endures a soul-crushing week of impossible quotas, passive-aggressive Slack wars, and a tyrannical boss who treats Friday like a myth. Fueled by stale coffee and weekend fantasies, Max turns mundane tasks into high-stakes survival challenges, dodging HR landmines and backstabbing colleagues while his personal life crumbles. As Thursday descends into chaos, Max's grind ignites a full-scale rebellion: he hacks the system, rallies misfit coworkers, and confronts the CEO's weekend-destroying merger. Explosive set pieces unfold in copy rooms and parking garages, blending brutal comedy with cathartic action. By dawn Friday, Max faces his ultimate test, choosing between total burnout or a defiant escape that redefines the 9-to-5 battlefield.

Cold open

INT. APEX CORP - OPEN OFFICE - MONDAY 7:58 AM

Fluorescent lights hum like angry hornets. MAX TORRES (32, rumpled tie, thousand-yard stare) slams his laptop open as the clock hits 8:00. Slack pings explode.

BOSS (O.S.)
Torres! Where's the Q3 forecast? Merger's moved to Friday!

Max chugs cold coffee. His screen fills with red "URGENT" flags. A nearby CUBICLE MATE whispers.

CUBICLE MATE
He canceled PTO again. Weekend's a lie.

Max's fingers fly across keys. A printer jams; he kicks it. The office clock ticks louder. He mutters to himself.

MAX
Just... till Friday. Grind till Friday.

His reflection in the monitor cracks a weary smirk. Outside, rain hammers the windows like deadlines.

Why now
